EMS is the fastest type of physical mail service, collecting, transporting and delivering letters, documents and goods in a short time. This service system is recognized all over the world as one of the most global express delivery systems. Currently, the EMS service is implemented in accordance with Article 36.1.1 of the Universal Postal Convention (Istanbul, 2016), and the international EMS network covers more than 190 countries around the world. In order to ensure the coordination and sustainable development of this network, the EMS Cooperative was established in 1999 under the Universal Postal Union (headquartered in Bern, Switzerland). Azerexpresspost, the only operator of the international EMS network in Azerbaijan, has been a member of the EMS Cooperative since 1999.
