Introduction: Since April 40, 1966, Oman Post was formally taken over by the government and issued the first set of Omani stamps depicting the Muscat port, the great fortress and the crest of the country. On August 9, 1970, the country ¡¯s name was changed from ¡°Muscat and Oman¡± to ¡°Sultanate of Oman¡±. Oman Post now has multiple offices, many professional employees, and various modes of transportation. It is controlled by the government, semi-government, and private sector, and provides the acceptance and delivery of letters and packages.
