Introduction: The postal history of Senegal has a strong connection with the colonial era. Before the arrival of the colonists, Senegal had no postal service. When the colonial era came, it became more and more necessary for sovereign states to exchange information between all parts of the country. By 1900, the telegraph network here covered almost the entire country. Now, in order to better adapt to the market, Senegal Post is further implementing open competition.
